Praia da Bordeira is located north of the small town Carrapateira along the west coast of the Algarve.

It can be easily reached using the N-268 leading from Sagres to Aljezur via Vila de Bispo. or via a small access road leading here from Carrapateira. This beach stretches across 400 m of dune coast. The rather brisk winds offer optimal conditions for Para gliders and windsurfers, but the beaches are not too suitable for swimming, especially for small children.

Bordeira has a traditional restaurant with lower prices than the tourist centres and there are museums and Roman ruins at São Brás .
